Gashtor is a monstrous beast in Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard and the very first FOE introduced in the game. It resembles a small tyrannosaur and is just as vicious.
When exploring the first floor of Yggdrasil Labyrinth, you may venture into a room where you will read a sign saying something in the same context as, 'Do not disturb the beast in the hall. If you do, you will regret it for the rest of your short life.'
His ability, Fangs, causes massive damage and has a high chance of inflicting paralysis. It may be wise to have each character in your current team at level 8 at the least, and among them an Alchemist, who has a full force meter and may use Eschaton, and defeat Gashtor before more than three people in your team are defeated.
Gashtor will remain immobile until you take the quest, A cranky monster. Since it is a quest FOE, it will not respawn after killed.
