Madworm is a monster found on Etrian Odyssey. It later comes back as a much stronger FOE variant on Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City. It takes form a long, red eyed worm, with a elastic body and a single eye.
Madworm (Etrian Odyssey)Edit
|Long, thin earthworm that lives under the soil. Its
mucus-covered skin reflects attacks.
|Weakness||Slash, Pierce, Fire|
Madworms are first encountered on B11F. They are weak to close range attacks (i.e. swords or axes) and die quickly. They either spawn on their own, or spawn with a treefrog, which generally makes them very easy to defeat. They have a skill called Mist, which decreases the partys resistance to all elements. It is resistant to crush, even though it is fairly weak to an axes average attack. They only drop elastic which sells for more than it is actually worth.

Mud Lurker (Etrian Odyssey III)Edit
These FOEs are really strong monsters living near the entrance to the Molten Caves. The difficulty level compared to previous FOEs is quite noticeably raised with these worms, considering their FOE avatar is orange.
They will aggressively chase you if you enter their line of sight, but only while you are close to the corridors where they each live. However, they rest during the night; this is the best time to map their lairs undisturbed, as they will not move from their spawn points.
During battle, the first thing it does is to make sure you can't escape by using Worm Crack to bind your legs. Then it will constantly spam the whole party with Worm Crack and Mud Spit, binding legs and head respectively while dealing moderate damage.
- Mud Spit (Uses ???): Hits the entire party for damage and has a chance to bind the legs.
- Worm Crack (Uses Head): Hits the entire party for damage and has a chance to bind the head.
