Raptors are FOE's and are first encountered on 4F, in Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard. Its appearance is exactly the same as the Gashtor on 1F - however, unlike the Gashtor, Raptors will chase the party. The Raptor has the same AT and DF as Chimaera, so whilst you might be in for a tough fight if unprepared, the Raptor does not provide the same threat that a Stalker would provide.

Fangs, the one skill that the Raptor has, can paralyze the target.

Raptors are FOEs and are first encountered on 2F in Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight. Raptors will chase the party. The Raptor has rather high AT and DF so you will be in for a tough fight if unprepared. It's recommended to be at least level 8 before approaching one.

Paralyze Fang, the one skill that the Raptor has, can paralyze the target.

Raptors can be trapped in a pitfall, taking away a large chunk of its health and hindering its mobility greatly. It's recommended to take advantage of pitfalls whenever possible as they make the fight much shorter. Attacking a Raptor in a pitfall will leave it immobile for two turns before it gets out so you have free time to either set up or wail on it.

After breaking out of one pitfall, a Raptor will move one step for every two player steps. After a second pitfall the Raptor will stop moving altogether. Attacking it in this state will not provide any bonus besides the health loss so if you're planning on killing it then it's best to attack while it's in the trap so you get extra turns.
