Venomgels are first encountered on B6F of the Primitive Jungle. They are basically the same as the Sleepgel but have the ability to poison your party with Venom and have slightly more health. Venomgels are equally weak to Ice and Volt attacks and are commonly be found with Glowbirds, Sleepgels or other Venomgels.
